In all seriousness though mf has already been nerfed out of existence.
- doesn't work on environment (corpses/chests)
- Doesn't influence item level
- Doesn't influence stat levels on items
All it does at the moment, is increase a chance of item quality (blue->rare->legend/set) off monster kills and it isn't doing much of that at the moment either. Neph has more of an impact due to the "guaranteed rares" while mf has slipped to becoming slightly more than worthless.
While drop-rates are fine in terms of item level, the quality of drops is woeful at the moment and way lower than it should be. I think they did this for 2 reasons
- to provide more vendor crap to cover repair bills
- to greatly reduce the chances of finding good gear via mf until they fix the gear switching problem where people are breezing through challenging fights and then reaping the rewards for having the mf gear tradeoff. Goblin farming with 300mf probably didn't help eheh.
Everyone is expecting it to be un-nerfed more than anything. If they break it further, especially considering it is 'all about the gear', then there really is no point in playing. The mf nerf has also completely fucked the economy of the game too.
