A lot of the fun comes from interacting with other players; trading, partying, pvping.

Funnily enough, even back in the days playing d2... I thought the game would be easily playable with a controller :leet:

FPS - Find target, manoeuvre, aim, shoot, (reload/heal)
RTS - Build, find target, attack
RPG - Find target, manoeuvre, aim, shoot, (reload/heal/level), buy/sell, do quest

etc, etc, etc

You can break any game down to it's constituent parts and make it sound boring. Strategy and tactics play a huge part in these games as well and essentially make the game along with the atmosphere, immersion, graphics, gameplay.

I reckon that might be what I'm missing. I've used the auction house and it's not bad. Selling items for real money is something that really interested me. If Blizzard added this to World of Warcraft I would cream my pants and the pants of everyone within a five kilometer radius.

Party play was very much the same as World of Warcraft. No one speaks, we just kill shit. Which is okay.

I haven't seen PVP. I'll look for it later today. :thumbup:

Fair enough. For me, Diablo 3 doesn't offer anything interesting in it's current form. It feels like a mindless smash 'n' grab and without controller support I just can't get into that kind of game. There isn't any strategy or tactics needed right now as everything dies too fast.

I won't comment on the graphics yet as it's still in beta and I'm sure everything isn't meant too look blue and blurry. :)

Its a beta, not a demo. It's not designed to entice you, it's designed to ensure a stable and working game.

re difficulty: it's a valid criticism, but if you play D1 or D2 it is even more laughably easy for the first 30 minutes.

There was a new wave of beta keys today, and to my surprise got one.

No email though, just there to download in the bnet account.

Still pretty fun to play. Finished 3 classes: Monk, Barbarian and DH today. Demon Hunter with good hand xbows+ rapid fire = pwnage.

I got my email today. downloading now.

Is anyone not playing this until release date? I don't want to spoil the awesomeness! :)

D2 is easily my favourite game of all time. Played through every character up to nightmare difficulty. I'm not radcore awesome gamer but damn it was fun.

2 ppl saying it needs a controller /sigh.
