you won't get the hard bits till the game is released.
try going up against diablo in d2 in hell mode thats when...i should use that speel that club that person comes into it.

the beta at the moment is too easy but it is good to get a feel for the characters and their strengths and weaknesses.

i ahve to go start a monk up as that is the only one i haven't played through yet.

as for graphics..mind bendingly better than diablo2 :) but still i jump back into a quick game of titan quest and think...hmmm

I don't understand, you got a second invite or you noticed it unlocked and then only got notification.

D2 is easily my favourite game of all time. Played through every character up to nightmare difficulty. I'm not radcore awesome gamer but damn it was fun.

2 ppl saying it needs a controller /sigh.

imo playing the beta wont ruin it, you don't get to see enough of the game.

I was sharing an account with a friend who had an invite, now I can play with him :D.

I have my Australian address listed and I got a key this morning.

My beta invite came from my battle.net account beta profile opt in. The email notification was sitting in my spam folder. Maybe Spamassassin ate a few people's invites?

Getting Started


1. Log in to Battle.net.
2. Click on the "Account" button.
3. Click on Diablo III Beta game account listed under "Your Game Accounts".
4. Verify your age.
5. Select Windows or Mac as your operating system to download the beta client.
6. Select "Run" when the installation .exe pop-up box appears.

Note: Your participation in the Diablo III beta test is governed by a Beta Test Agreement that you are required to accept before you can install the beta client.

i got an invite to the game downloaded the game until it was playable and tried to log in but got an error when it was trying to retrieve the character list.

i get the error:

Error 395000 not sure but googling to find out.

Update: looks like the beta servers are down so the error is to be expected
