How so? the title of the the thread has the release date in it and its the only d3 thread. whats stopping people talking about (other then the fact its just a mouse with d3 on it)

Let me turn this around Fishy: why not have a new thread for the retail release?

I came into this thread to find out about the game and have no intention of plowing through 200 pages to find useful tidbits. Also, the main reason for my question is because the OP contains out of date and incomplete information.

/edit: actually I'm going to bow out of this because it's clearly going to become a pissing contest. I wish I had the creative ability to make a new thread similar to what was done for the F1 because that Australian GP thread actually got me to watch the race it was so well put together. But whatever.

Now we're closer to release, Diablo 3 content is more relevant and would consolidate nicely in a fresh thread.
As I'm a big Diablo 3 fan the idea behind a new thread is to push this upcoming release in the best direction possible :D

Its a 1000% easier to search for information if its one spot, not split across 2 threads... someone in 6 months asks why bliz did X and you can just quote a part of the discussion from when it happened to show them or they can find it them self.


This game is the same game, one game and thats it. Its not 20 different tracks with different layouts and different winners, different start times and so on.

Fellow D'ers - I've only played the D3 beta for a few hours, enough to finish normal beta a couple of times. I am struggling to feel awe and wonder. Where has the build planning and skill setting gone? Now everything is handed to me like pavolv's dog and all I have to do is customise my gear (whether in the form of "equipment" or "equipped skills")? Compare this to the fun and wonder I got in the same time playing the Path of Exile open beta weekend...but let's not start that.

Am I missing something??

As this is the Beta, and you are limited to Level 13 I dont think it really shows off the potential, I think once you are at the higher levels, things become more interesting
