In my experience from perth, it was mostly about 230-250 ping. Not laggy at all.

I get around 300 to high 400ish and the game is mostly fine. I am on vivid wireless though. Still highly playable. Have a 5 days weekend following the launch starting on 17th. :D Hopefully my CE arrives by then from JB Hifi pre-order. Otherwise I might have to shell out for another one :(

i dont have a DVD rom so im going Blizzard direct digital. Hopefully they have a launch sale price down to $70 would be awesome.

i at 200 ping mostly, i suspect its a Europe server. We probably get our Asia one open on launch.

Pretty enjoyable game for the time being. Like all Diablo games, causes RSI pretty bad.

I was on 250 ping or so, Perth as well. Only class giving me trouble was monk, the blink addition to the primary attack did not function well. It sometimes teleported you, sometimes worked as a ranged attack, sometimes did nothing at all. The charge ability seemed to do nothing. Might avoid monk on release.

Nope, we get to use the US servers.

I play on US server due to friends from WoW. Probably would be better if i pick SEA one. But not too fussed. Will see how it goes. I will also pre-load it tonight when I get home. :D

I didn't really have any trouble with any of the classes. Monk was great. Fist of Thunder with the teleport rune was just awesome. It does look like I was lagging badly as I'm zapping around so much though lol. Charge works ok on mine too. So far I've played 4 classes except witch doctor. I reckon I'll have all 5 classes eventually though. At first I didn't like barb and wizard. But once they get to about lvl 10, it starts getting more fun for them. Barb especially. Leap is such a hax skill lol. Especially when going around terrains. My poor buddies had to walk around stuff, I just jump over it lol

You do know the Charge ability you have to hold down the key, not just click it?

Bertross 24th April 2012 4:38 PM

LOL it took me a second or two as well thinking it was a rubbish ability.

It actually is a pretty cool ability he twirls a staff and runs at high speed where ever you point him. So good for breaking up clumps of monsters or escaping. It a channel type ability, so it just drains spirit progressively.

I love using it in a room full of tables and stuff. :D

Oh the spinning stick thing (right click) i get the use of.

But the 2nd unlocked ability (#2 on the row of keys) is the one i found no function for.

Point your cursor at the target and press it. You dash towards the object I believe. Can't really remember it well.

I tested this, doesn't work most of the time. Even if you have your cursor on the far edge of your screen it does a small dash and ends.

I betamaxed during the weekend and had the most fun playing monk; least fun playing sorcerer. Although I suspect dual wield monk is broken as the attack speed is incredible. With a 17.5 DPS staff I only had 48 DPS; with two 15.0 swords I had 60 DPS. Compared to my demon hunter; two 17.6 crossbows at 70 DPS. Removing one only reduces DPS by 2 or something.

Due to the limited number of skills you can have at a time, I hope they make them quite even. I found that most classes had some skills that were just not as good as others and never got used. I'm hoping the rune system will help with that. However, it would suck if there were just clearly better skills and everyone just played the cookie cutter best build/s.

I see. Didn't really use that skill much myself. Not sure if mine worked properly. But I think I did use it a few times on the skeleton king and it worked I believe. However the amount of stuff going on when you fight him with 3 other friends, it's hard to see sometimes if something is working properly or not.

So where can one pre-order this for under the $80 rip off price?
