But it will be sad if the console version outsells the PC version and management go "Hey console version outsold PC 5:1, use console as dev and port to PC from now on"

If they do that, the console version will definately out sell the PC version.

Pure speculation, but I'll hazzard a guess and say that it will be a next-gen console release only.. Not a 360, ps3, wii release.

I still have this link saved. The link works, but not sure if latest. It should be fine to update though

Thanks mate, I'm dling at about 1.1mb/s which is pretty damn fast!

Any confirmation that this is indeed the latest and what we need to get straight into it?

I want to have this game on the day as a physical copy.

Should I pre-order from JB/DSE for $69 and hope it arrives quickly or should I buy it from JB/DSE on the day?
Will it be more expensive instore than online preorder?

Cheers.

Is anyone actually doing a midnight launch (AUS).

Can't play the game until 5pm anyway :S

TXN 7th May 2012 7:30 PM

Midnight launch would be unnecessary.
Personally, I'm going to the new JB near my place.

booksacool1 7th May 2012 7:54 PM

And itll be the same price as online?

Yes, as far as I'm aware the prices should be the same. I'd rather just pick it up just in case something happens on the day and it gets delayed by post. Although, I've heard that they do ship it a few days before so you get it on release day.

It's $79 online, directly from Blizzard

If $10 means more to you than getting and playing it the second it's released, and if you'd rather make your way to a store and back on the day, for a box, then yeah, order from those guys

balckjok3r 7th May 2012 8:32 PM

keeen... D3 not far away... Probably be a few extra weeks thill I start tho. Hope the system is up to the task ok. Dont want to get any more hardware :thumbdn:

Can get it for $69 from Blizzard by paying in Singapore dollars.

Sweet. Yeah according to the website they'll ship it "one working day prior" (i.e. Monday) to the official release. However that doesn't give auspost the five days they need to fuck around, refuse to knock on my door and eventually let me pick it up from the post office all in the same week. That's assuming they still have stock available for pre-order. It won't surprise me if they do a Telstra and reserve stock for walk-in purchases only.

Can you stop with that bullshit assumption, ive rebuked it too many times in this thread already. Activision have no control over any of Blizzards project. Blizzard have always stated they would like to do a console game, and they see D3 as the best game for it, which is true.

However it will be long after release, and thats even if it gets done.

PvP Server Hardware has arrived so its slowly being installed, means PvP shouldn't be to far after launch.
