hehe yea i use to do the same thing i havent played in at least a year and half now, last time i checked it(6-7months ago), it was pretty dead, nothing like it used to be..

all my account expired so theres no way id go back, i have heaps of forum gold from D2JSP or watver its called, so i could easily trade the gold for the best weapons again, but the game has had its time.. BRING ON DIABLO III !!!!!

Starcrafts move not to include LAN play is bad, but i think diablo 3 without LAN play would be worse. All of my friends have D2 and not one of us has gone through even the first difficulty setting through battlenet, prefering playing each other so as to avoid ninja looters and tosspots ruining the gaming experience.
Notch out no local servers and you've got a recipe for poor sales and a disgruntled fan base.
On the other hand perhaps it will be an opportunity for the industry to learn again where the line is they shouldn't cross when harassing their own consumer market, what do you think?

I'm sure there is a number of reasons why they'd potentially not include Lan play: as an anti-piracy measure (need to authenticate on BattleNet using a legitimate key and unhacked version of the game), too much development time for something that is increasingly unused, not many lost sales by not including it. These are just guesses, but the potential is there.

It might be a sign that Blizzard are more dedicated to the $$$ rather than the game itself like every other developer these days. I don't know if I'll buy it if it doesn't include LAN play.

Fragfrog and his party (8 in total) has completely Uber Tristram hardcore with no equipment on the Europe battlenet server. So teamwork wins all.

And he has the youtube videos to prove it.... XD

I won't be buying it with no LAN play. Sorry blizzard, killed the only reason I would've bothered.
