why are ppl complaining about bots? it was always going to happen. still happens in wow after 7 years. now real money is involved it will become much worse.

its like wow, queens garnet on AH is on average 700 - 800g on my server (khazgoroth) yet i bought 20 of them for 7000 gold of some dude who is always in SW selling stacks of 20 for cheap, take it i got them of a gold scammer, who cares as i wasnt the one cheating, only taking advantage, alo selling sands of time for 5000 for 20, now there a vendor only item for 3000g. how are they selling 20 for 5000? i bought my vial of the sands drake of someone in trade who clearly bought these vial of the sands as i only paid 25k for my 2 seater mount.

my point is blizzard has been hacked for YEARS and always will be, does it destroy my experience? not at all, actually helped me as my mount was 11,000g cheaper than the AH normally is.

will it be worse now there Real money? of course!!! what did you ppl expect? lol

He's not stealing, he bought/found a machine that can plow snow automatically, only that the snow is being plowed away from his house onto your front lawn and every other house on the street which has tens of millions other residence.

And the most common result is a chain reaction, now your neighbour 3 houses down will also do the same as he is.

Technically anyone Botting and reaping profits are gaining profit through crime and when caught should have to pay back the amount gained. That would make my day.

do i agree with bots? no!

but ffs come on, you ppl are talking like its destroying real life. its so entertaining to read. im loving it. :D

its a game, always will be a GAME.

blame blizzard as there the ones who allow it and also the ones who added real money, wait till the governments jump in and want to add real tax to real money transactions. oh the outcry when that happens, personally couldnt give a shit as no in game item is worth REAL money in my mind.

Pretty sure this isnt how the game is meant to be played.

Zerging the fuck out of them dying a million times ;/

So funny, I take a few adds, monk takes a few adds....monk takes off adds from me that monk doesn't get - then I tank the adds why WD/DH kill them. Meanwhile the monk runs in circles around landscape for a few minutes....

you're not geared enough for inferno then and will get complete stomped in act2

i lol'ed a little too hard at that.

Do you honestly think the government would spend tens of thousands of dollars tracking, arresting and then going through the courts all because of a bot?

I get that your white knighting, but come on even that is a little far fetched.

hacking accounts would be gaining profits through crime, how are bots illegal?

I just skip the bot reading. Doesnt bother me if i dont care to care ;) always going to be cheaters but does it worry me. Nop. If it becomes to over baring blizzard will deal with it.

TBH i think blizzard should impose caps on certain items within the game itself... SURE they reap benefits of people buying items for 1mil gold...

BUT they have a duty of care, so to stop the botting and basic monopoly of a "real money" market that the AH will develop... i'm pretty sure they'd need to do something about it... i'm sure there's a law that requires business to do some sort of duty of care/morality thingy... they always preach about that shizz here at work! :P

ALSO i think that they should make any item that is purchased in the AH, bound to the account this would stop the reposting of items that are cheap for a higher price THUS "virtually" increasing the value of said item...

The best thing about diablo is that its a 4 player game with a AH, if this was a mmo, i would be quite upset and disappointed.

As long as everyone can see that its not worth buying the gold that the botters are selling for w/e 1m/$40, things wont become so heavily inflated.

The game is designed to be grindy to the fuckhouse late game, those choosing to take the easy out and trying to rush everything as quickly as possible, just end up spoiling it faster for themselves.

By rushing, i mean buying gold or setting up farms for themselves. My approach is just farm like crazy, sell the yellows for like 10-20k gold for everything beyond level 45 as they will sell faster, at the same time making it affordable for other players.

And for the most part, just play with your good friends and play different classes so if you or them find good items that one of your mates can use, just pass it on.

Hah hah very funny, since when is botting a crime?

Just because the restrictive EULA says no, doesn't make it a crime in any country that I know of. It's even questionable that it's immoral. Bots are no more than a nuisance.

For those thinking I'm spoiling it for myself, I botted WoW for 3 years+ and ejoyed every minute of it. For a while I enjoyed botting more than actually playing, it's quite the challenge to try to improve your gold/hr etc. :)

Now ill put this in.

In wow i used to bot, from 1-40 bots going at any one time spread over several adsl connections and several machines using VM and windowed mode.

The early versions were very primitive and blizzard used to be able to detect the scripted moves. These days however the scripting has become that well entrenched that now its almost undetectable, you move and act like someone is behind that keyboard .

For me personally, yes i will bot in D3, providing i can make an average of 12 dollars per hour on no more then 5 accounts, anything less then that then the profit margain vs power use is not worth the effort.

The moment blizzard introduced the RMAH they encouraged botting, simple as that. You watch every now and again they will slam a guild of asian gold makers and use that as a PR campaign, but for regular normal users, they will almost be undetectable.

its the same as hackers/bots in BF3, they are undetectable, using a script injection.

easy, 1 account will probally make $4-5 p/h. $20 an hour is nothing to sneeze at when your not even doing anything. all those whinging about losers not having jobs etc, go and find somewhere you can make $20-40p/h from DOING JACK SHIT ALL. add that on top of normal wage earnings and its a good little earner for things like holidays etc.

plus it means more time to spend with real world things like HAVING A LIFE.

whinging about it is moot, even if every westerner DIDN'T bot, it would still be rife just with chinese bot farms. so why not cash in if blizzard are happy to?
