I would bet most of those who got hacked have a smartphone, thus could of added an authenticator to their account for free. Blizzard have already stated that not one account with an authenticator has been hacked. Quote:

There are a lot of things blizzard could be doing which they aren't. How hard is it to implement some safe guards, for example don't let a second connection occur if the player is already logged in, block attempts from international IP addresses without e-mail verification, for that matter block all connections for any new ip address without e-mail verification. People shouldn't need to go to the trouble of getting an authenticator just to play a game, no other game or service seems to have this much of a problem with keyloggers. |

Block and farm ALL the mobs. edit: Doing it now on Act 4 Inferno, it works. |

Personally they should look at implementing something like Steam Guard so at least if your account is compromised they cannot actually do anything without also having access to your email. |

Gillard: You've found something fun to do? Let me tax it for you.
Blizzard: You've found something fun to do? Let me patch it for you. |
I just logged on today and realised I have no interest in playing this.
Well D3 was a lot shorter lived than D2 for me, I'll say that. Also I find it funny that they fucked up the dungeon crawler so badly. In D2, you did boss runs. Pretty much anyone could do these as it wasn't that hard to hit a high enough level to do them. All bosses dropped pretty decent stuff and if they didn't, you just made a new game and spent the next 10 minutes re-running them. In D3, you need to get to Inferno first (which by Blizzard's admission only the best players will actually finish) before crawling is even worth it. I dunno, just kinda takes the fun out of it. And even in inferno, if you happen to find a legendary it's gonna be worse than that blue you found a few days ago. |
