48hrs in a weekend (not even counting Friday night) and it only takes about 40hrs to get to level 60! Proper time management man :P

Is there an online stat calculator? :) Struggling to find a better weapon for my Barb, but hard to tell with all the combinations of attack speed, dps etc

Oh and doing fine in Inferno Act 1 with > 300 all resistance, but Act 2 getting wiped by almost any mob where there's a few.

DPS is just under 10k and health 25k, so far back from when I didn't have to worry about resistance :)

Been waiting for this game for 10+ years feels so good to play it.

PS> If you find any Legendary or Greens -- Do not inspect them. I presume the stats are rolled when you do the inspect thing, so wait until they patch the leg/set items before inspecting them. I could be wrong but thats what I would do :)
Dammit, why didn't I think of that I just picked up a green set ring yesterday :(

After the 1.0.3 patch you will have a 2% chance of an ilvl63 item (ie the good items) dropping in Act 1. I think its 0 at the moment.

I think they realised that Act 2 is a little too hard to farm to get the gear good enough to beat it so they are making Act 1 farming a little more viable. I do agree with this, there should be a chance to find good items in all inferno levels not just act 2 and beyond. But yeah, this will make act 1/2 farming much more viable :)

I just hope they dont totally nerf inferno mode or I may get my life back lol! I'll sell my gear on AH Currency auction when i finish it and happy days hehe

Hey guys any barbarians deep into act 3 or act IV Inferno on here?

I generally group with a DH, WD, Wizard or a combo of the three.

DH and I killed Ghom last night but it really is starting to get hard and i'm curious if it's my gear or my build that is holding me back.

Generally I run solo with the following build.

Frenzy/Maniac
Overpower/Revel
Ground Stomp/Wrenching Smash
Revenge/Provocation
War Cry/Impunity
Furious Charge/Dreadnought

Passives - Nerves of Steel, Tough as nails and either Juggernaut or Superstition.

Stats of note.
51k HP
12.5k DPS
980min Res with Warcry
34% Block
21% Dodge
8800 armour (9900 with enchantress)
500ish life on hit.

I am don't have Stormshield, String of Ears or Mara's amulet and was curious to know if the 26-29% Melee reduction from these items is really what I should be aiming for or is there something else I am overlooking?

Autti 12th June 2012 12:17 PM

life on hit is what you need.

its not to hard to get 1000 life on hit, and with 2.0 APS thats 2k life per second, coupled with block and resistances it makes you very very tanky.

obviously you will still have to avoid arcane lasers, firechains and descerator, but you will tank normal hits no problem.

I was thinking about trying to find some good life on hit + increase attack speed rings. I was about to pull the trigger on Justice Lantern but perhaps I will leave that alone for the time being.

The killer is when you get a nightmare/freeze mob or one that kites you with molten so you can't get your HP back.

The endgame barb builds I've seen have 900ish All res without the warcry buff so that would probably get you into a survivable state. I'm still using my Wiz to try find gear for my barb but no luck yet and I'm getting much more bang for buck upgrading my wizard gear than barb gear so he's just sitting there doing not much.

imo with the speed you can clear act 1 this is going to make it the best farming spot lol.

Plus they're making champ packs drop a guaranteed rare (and reducing the number of rares bosses drop) with full neph stack. Time to farm random champion zombies.

Any idea if 1.0.3 and RMAH is coming tonight?

I like how stats work in this game though. I have lvl 54 pants that have 140 dex & Vit, life per second and 2 slots. So much more stats than alot of the lvl 60 pants. Really all about luck.

Set items are way overpriced, inflation has gone crazy, despite pages and pages of each item on offer, most are being passed in a auction because nobody can afford what's being asked. The AH is pretty broken really. I can't see any easy way for them to fix it, perhaps they could remove the ability to set an outrageous starting price, let you only set a buyout price on say set and legendary items.

A good post (IMO) re the AH from the D3 forums...

I think Blizzard is addressing it properly. Hell acts 3 and 4 will get lvl 61 and 62 drops, which means that you should reasonably be able to get through Inferno 1 and 2. 1 and 2 will get 63 drops (they were 0% before) that help you get through 3 and 4. Playing in groups will also get much easier (monster damage will no longer scale up, only HP, so less one hit kills playing in groups) so anyone having trouble will be able to team up and do it easier.

If anything, I think they're overdoing it, but people want to be able to actually hit the end of Inferno.

And prices will balance out in the AH, market forces will kick in. At the moment the biggest problem is trying to figure out a price it will sell, stuff either goes really low and sells instantly or sits for a day and a half without being able to adjust it. The turnaround is the killer, it can take a week to figure out what it'll sell at (and it's changing all the time as more people get up to higher levels. I was selling level 50-55 stuff for huge amounts a week ago, not now).

And no one seems to be bidding on anything, which I think was what Blizzard expected more of. Really people want instant gratification, they need to be able to make an offer and have it sell instantly at that offer price if accepted.

Kinda expensive considering you could've gotten cheap blue 2h sword for 60 at around 10k, and something cheap for 56-60. But yeh, lvl 60 weapons with - lvl req are awesome. I've got a pair of 5xx dps 1h weapons that has -7 lvl requirements which i tot around at 53-60. Keeping them for later alts. :D

I'm so very glad I read this, I picked up a 2h Monk weapon just now with 600+ DPS and 100+ Dex with a -12 lvl requirement. I'm so tuned to just looking for specific stats and ignoring most else that I almost salvaged it, but a lvl 48 weapon that does that much damage will make the Monk build I'm trying out kind of easy later on :P
