I like ias cos i prefer fast pace, so i still plan to get The Flavor of Time or Inna's Glory(if they fix the ias bug) for 25% movement.
1.0 aps = http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/156/aps1.jpg yawn
4+ aps = http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/7509/aps4.jpg fun

so why nerf ias when non-ias items are cheaper and provide more dps already?
actually this could work out good for me cos i'll be able to get em cheaper. :)

I think it's because of a general sense that blizzard have of how people are playing the game (i.e. majority of people are going crazy about ias and they woudl rather people look at alternatives)

I took you advice and spent ~150k on resist gear.
My damage is gimp, but I can survive most elites now. I've gone with a very defensive build too.

I did play with a group too, and was able to roll around in dps gear. So I might use resist gear for soloing..

The problem with nerfing stats is that it has a real world cost for players. Spent $20 on something on RMAH last week? Want to sell it now? Now its worth $5, for no other reason than Blizz altering its real world worth by changing its in-game valuability. Thats a bit rough for something the users have no control of. But now people are starting to get some idea of what this virtual stuff is really worth.

Elmf 17th June 2012 12:21 PM

Yeah they shouldn't be able to change past items now that they have a real value.

But, they can change drop rates...

Pinkeh 17th June 2012 12:23 PM

and this is different to real world trading how?

Bought airline shares just before 911?

Quite different actually, as your analogy is a little flawed.

A bit better example would be...

If you buy a car this week, then next week the dealer says "Oh hai, we are taking two of your doors off and a wheel, and doing so in such a way that you cannot restore your car to the previous state, and you don't get any of the money you paid for it back either".

The point of IAS is that it allows you to take advantage of your entire mana pool by burning it up quickly before having to kite. I almost always screen-edge mobs, unload, and regen mana while kiting.

Finally got to Inferno and pretty much don't like the zombie bear spam on my WD. It worked well enough in Hell act 4 but it seems to get me killed way too much on champions and elites in Inferno. I switched to slow effects and damage over time stuff and I seem to be managing champions and elites much better with not too much change on normal mobs. The next challenge is to get some better items as I'm only on 11k dps with 35k life and 200-250 resists.

time to own this offline :)

its probably buggy, but imagine if you had waited for this and then played in offline mode with no AH, would of extended the game's life from weeks to years looking for those perfect drops and beating inferno, no good for the ADHD gamer generation though
