It probably checks rarity, then the rolls on your item - ie. how many affixes and what their potential rolls are, and work from there. Would have nothing to do whether the stats are actually good I don't imagine.

For example, you could probably roll close to the maximum on health globe healing, frost resistance, thorns damage, etc. and end up with a rubbish item, but it might value it at more than a ring with lower percentage rolls of dex/vit/all resist/ias.

I'm just guessing though.

How do you get the actual money IF u sell the item? do you need a paypal account?

I just placed 1140 dps two-handed sword with 25% ias for $10 to test, since 970 dps dagger with 25% ias is going for $250. :)

You need a Paypal account, or it's stuck in Blizzard money which has very limited application. You could redeem Blizzard money if you make a mistake, by using it to purchase something at the RMAH, then sell that item but select Paypal when you do.

Astonished that they actually went ahead with the rmah. So many things are going to go wrong, it's probably going to be funny.

GiantGuineaPig 13th June 2012 12:35 PM

I'm pretty tempted to just put all my equipped gear on the AH, see how much I make, wait for 1.03, economy should have crashed by then and buy better gear much cheaper :)

I had a very similar reaction. I want to meet the people that are spending upwards of $10 all the way to $200 on items lol. Like, really?

Nah, test it with a piece or two. Last thing you want is not having any gear to play with for several days whilst you get the sale price right after several attempts.

yeah i thought the botters were going to be booted before RMAH
bet activision was like we want more money naow!!

i may do the same as above , sell every item i have , it may also be worth farming normal pony level, i think new players will also be interested in gear not just level 60's, so if i have a paypal account how painfull is setting this up? do i do it from game or can i do it today while at work ?

TF2 says hello. And the bulk of those are purely cosmetic.

I take it the servers are still down? After logging in I get the 'patch update' message. After clicking ok, quits the game then it crashes (APPCRASH) and no patch is downloaded.
