How to pay for your barb repair bills. Better use this new farming method before they nerf it:

Not true.

Absolute rubbish, you don't have the experience to counter my argument.

You don't need to use the RMAH either!

I bought a pair of pants for 151k gold the other night and sold it on the RMAH for $75.

My point being the item that someone paid hard earned cash for was purchased on the GAH for next to nothing just a few hours earlier. If people are forced to use the RMAH these items wouldn't be on the GAH

First of all - rightfully so, if someone invests more time in something they SHOULD be better off than you. It's like saying you want to get paid the same as the guy who works 38 hours a week when you only work 15.

Secondofly - You DON'T need to put in an insane amount of time to be well geared, you just need to be SMARTER about how you spend the time you play.

If you're constantly getting buttraped in Act 2, don't waste your time grinding Act 1 - go to the Auction House and spend some time sniping bargain deals, this is WAY better than grinding for loot in game.

I beg to differ.
As does the majority, hence the changes.

Who is saying that people that spend more time on the game shouldn't be better off?
What is being said is that in order to progress through the gear check at the end of ACT 1 inferno, you need to 'grind gold' to a disproportinate level which is a time sink pure and simple. Nothing else.
To get the gear to survive act 2, you need to use the auction house by grinding gold in act 1. This is not right, and has rightfully been changed.

Now you have the choice to go for drops in act 1 to gear for act 2. Which is the way it should be. The AH is no longer your only avenue, but still remains an option if you so choose.

Don't confuse the two

You've clearly got something against the barbarian being brought into line with the other chars. I'll leave it at that, although I'm sure you'll want the last word :p

This is what the 'games created per minute' patch will address lol.

So because of your inability to research the market it's the games fault?

You're basically saying you want everything handed to you - either put in some work or stop complaining bro.

Grinding gold was never the only option to get better gear, as I explained and proved with examples.

Did you ever try another way? Or did you just assume it was the only way?

I think you're comparing two different games.....

1) The game 80% of the player base is playing....DIABLO 3

2) The game 20% of the player base is playing....DBAY

;)

Bertross 20th June 2012 10:58 AM

no more drops from boss fights! i did however find gold items of regular foes which i never really came across. Man the repair costs are insane! Upgraded my Blacksmith to level 10, i think ill be using him a lot more now. seems to be a cheaper alternative.

Tried other ways too mate.
You'd have to sink a disproportinate amount of time regardless, which I'm glad they've changed now.

Those guys that play for 15 hours + p/w seem to not understand why these changes have been made. For what ever reason. ;)

Japes: regarding your comment about quivers needing to have high IAS to keep it in line with other classes...

There are one-handed crossbows that would act the same as a one-handed weapon for any other class I'm guessing? No other class gets to equip something in their offhand slot for a 2handed weapon. Getting 2x 1100dps swords for a barb to make use of the extra 15% (let alone the 20% you can get with a quiver?) attack speed would cost ridiculous amounts compared to picking up one bow and a quiver!

ener 20th June 2012 11:05 AM

ok did a butcher run with 5 stacks....
Ilvl referenced not equip
4 x > level 60
1 x 61
3 x 62
1 x 63

ps. i love how everyone says "you should now this shit is coming, you should know XZY about the game" well no you shouldn't, where the fuck does it tell me in game that they are nerfing IAS, Nerfing this, making changes, etc... it doesn't I have to trawl the d3 forums to find this information (even tho I do know all this shit :) ) a lot of people don't know, and wouldn't see it unless they actively go to the d3 forums, hence why both AH's were selling IAS constantly up until maintenance.

Deanemau5 20th June 2012 11:07 AM

The auction house is part of Diablo 3, to not play it is just silly. It would be like saying people who buy potions from vendors are playing 'Vendor Diablo' instead of Diablo.

As I said earlier, the people complaining simply want to be able to put in minimal time and thought to get maximum reward...

If you don't have much time to play then you need to think about how you spend your time in the game to get the most out of it, instead of wasting it doing the same thing over and over again and progressing consistantly slow.

Look at the average DPS of a 2H Bow/Crossbow compared to a 2 Hand Weapon. It's substantially lower. They're balanced around being used with a quiver on a DH. ie. I can't get an upgrade for under 50mil to my 1137 dps 2H Bow (with a socket). There's hundreds of 1200+ DPS Staves/Axes/Maces for 100k gold.
