Yes, every Tuesday night.

For tonight, it starts at 10pm (Brisbane) and for 2 hours. A shorter one this time.

they're implementing 1.0.3a

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5911504035

Quote:

Classes
Witch Doctor
Bug Fixes
Zombie Charger
Skill Rune – Zombie Bears
Fixed a bug where Zombie Bears were unable to attack targets on slopes
Zombie Bears should no longer become stuck on objects with which they shouldn’t have collision

Items
General
Equipped items will now take "wear-and-tear" durability damage at half the previous rate
Please note that durability loss as the result of normal combat is different from the 10% durability loss characters will incur when they die. Equipped items have always suffered durability loss while fighting, and we are simply slowing the rate at which the loss occurs.

Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that was causing Unique monsters to not drop the appropriate amount of loot when slain
Fixed a bug with linking items with 3 gem sockets
It is no longer possible to create fake achievement links

Bug Fixes
General
Fixed a bug that was causing the “Switch Hero” button to occasionally disappear after leaving a game while in town
Fixed several gold and leveling exploits
Fixed several game and service crashes (for Mac and PC)
If you're powerlevelling, zk run while you can.

Do you actually know anyone that has bought a D3 item off eBay fore $700?

How many people here ever bought an item at the RMAH for $250?

Yet we are supposedly a well off country.

If I can sell an average item for $250 in 20 mins, I'm sure there are some items that can sell for $700. I wouldn't ever pay that much, but there are people out there that will.

We're a well off country, but not everyone thinks it's a great idea to blow real money on game items :/

Edit: I just upgraded my paypal account (don't think it makes any difference) and had a look through fees etc. for businesses. If you're selling over 5k worth of stuff a month your fees can be as little as 1.1% per transaction. Nice of Blizzard to round that up to 15% and still take their $1 fee.

GeneralDeath 26th June 2012 12:09 PM

Thx Radiant at work wasnt to sure thx for the conformation and link.

Ah, but that's not the question I asked. I will rephrase it.

Are there any players that read this thread that have spent $250 on an item in the RMAH yet?

I haven't that's for sure.

Me either. I think the general demographic of people who frequent gaming/PC forums are more likely to be the people selling the items than buying them. I could be wrong though, it'd be interesting to find out. I think there was a reddit thread interviewing someone about why they spent $250 on an item?

Are there any that have paid $250 for an item AND are willing to say that they have, should be the question :D

no, but how is that relevant ? back in d2 days people paid 10k for a duping method, which obviously made them much more in return.

And what does it have to do with being a well off country, I'm pretty sure anyone buying items with real money keeps there mouth shut because of all the QQers who have different priorities/can't afford it/huge mortgages!

I expect items to become alot more expensive when pvp comes around and we find out whats useful for pvp.

Part of me thinks it should be more than just half, because we're still being penalised for playing the game.

Omarko 26th June 2012 12:44 PM

if I wanted to play the game of buying items on AH in gold and selling for $$s, what do you guys recommend ?

as in, what has highest chance of selling and around what amount? (i.e. buy a ring with x , y and z stats for 5M and sell on RMAH for $20)

ener 26th June 2012 12:47 PM

Lol fixed several gold and levelLing exploits... Breakable items were still dropping gold  and players were getting XP for quest s
