Just cleared Skeleton King on Inferno for the first time... All I can say is wow... 5 stacks of Valor makes soo much loot drop... granted about 95% is salvaged or vendored, but the sheer amount of it makes wanting to roll a new character and enduring the grind from 30-60 with really bad loot drops very unappealing.

So I just started my act 1 farming run today and only had 1 NV stack.
Had a legendary drop straight away. Then 5 minutes later another legendary dropped. Don't worry, they were both shit.
That's 5 legendaries now in about 130 hours of playtime.

Then, I finally got my 5 stack and was booted from the game for some reason...

That happens all the time if you use mytelecom.com.au ADSL2+ like me.. :( i nearly killed diablo before but then got dc.

i'm getting raped in hell by elites act2

anyone advise what I can do? or what I can buy with the cash I have? my dagger is around 280dps, life around 15k

Your stats are very low. Get better gear. You should be like up near 10,000 damage at level 54. Your intelligence should be up around 1,000+ 431int is not good at all for that level.

edit: Upgraded my gear, looking alot better now - I didn't know wizards int/vit was main. Don't know how you guys have 10k damage... I can get barely half that. My wand is 231dps 70 int 70 vit. Maybe I just need a ton more cash or something

Don't worry about the vit for the moment, just get the int up over 1,000.

Go to Auction House, put 5,000 max buy out. Find the highest Int/Vit combo for under 5,000 gold. For your weapon, since you are lvl 54, type in item level 60, but in the stats, search for 'reduced level requirements' and enter value 6. That way you can access lvl 60 items with much higher DPS at lvl 54. I spent 10,000 on a fairly decent weapon that was almost triple the DPS of my shitty lvl 52 one.

Buy a reduced level requirements weapon - had 20k dps @ lvl 45 or something like that, just because I had a 980 dps bow.

im finding my drops with 280+mf are getting much better. Good ol' mf
