Apparently this has finished up on development, not sure when the Vita will see its release though:

Looks pretty cool, kind of like a GTA 8bit

walker_2003 6th June 2012 9:12 AM

My microwave could run that 8 bit game. What a waste of grunt.

Kinda looking forward to the call of duty, be cool to play on the fly online.

Philll 6th June 2012 9:13 AM

Your microwave could probably play and finish COD as well

Anyone have Resistance and can provide a review?

Just finished the demo and thought it was actually pretty decent, so am thinking about picking it up.

Gravity Rush is coming this week though, which I know I'll love so Resistance might have to go on the back order for now. Looks like it will only be $49 from JB too.

Really wish the PSN would put up pre-order's so you can see pricing. As it is, I'm usually having to wait until release day to see what it costs on the store vs. buying from a brick and mortar.

Am really feeling hopeful about the Vita now, so many good games on the horizon. It just needs to pickup steam and I really think in another year or so it will be the handheld of choice.

i fired it up on the weekend... got it for $49 from JB (price matched to DSE)... its got issues... i can see why some people have bagged it out... but that said i still found it enjoyable and although i'm not very far into it (got side tracked with Diablo 3) i will definitely keep playing it

some of the touch screen controls are gimmicky and awkward but once you get the hang of it some can actually be pretty awesome and useful... one that i would call gimmicky is with the crossbow/shotgun (i can't remember the name... Mule maybe?) you swipe down on the screen to load the arrow before firing... now i say its gimmicky but damn it feels good to do it lol!

i didn't realise there was a demo... but if you enjoyed i say why the hell not... there are worse games you could play

I can't provide a review but I will say that Resistance doesn't start out with it's best foot forward. The game gets better as you progress through the levels both visually and gameplay wise. There are some big difficulty spikes near the end. Multiplayer is basic but fun.

i'm tempted to pre-order gravity rush for free dlc... its a strange game... but i didn't mind it (from playing the demo)

Nightwish 12th June 2012 2:15 PM

Yea I pre-ordered my GR from eb a few weeks ago for the dlc... But now I notice eb's website still has game listed for $59 whereas JB for $49 so I'm wondering if eb won't price match if the dlc would be worth that extra $10...

Actually I just checked,eb's website now has it at $53

MrBS 12th June 2012 2:17 PM

I'll be picking up the game from US PSN tomorrow. $36 with DLC. Nice :D
