Hey guys, say hello to my little friend Butters.

That horrifying video posted of that disphit kid hurting his cat has fucking completely got my head in a spin. Its a vile piece of footage that I wish I could un-see.

So, to combat how it makes me feel, I want to share with you a close up of my little mate Butters' face. Ain't he a cute little bastard?

Looking at this pic makes me forget about how sick some people can be in the world.

My new cat, "fivey", short for cat5e. He was the fifth cat in a litter of five so cat5 seemed perfect. He's outgrown the others at an amazing rate so we added the e. Currently exploring my desk!

just picked up a new kitten today. But the older cat we have it's about 6 months old does not seem to like the 7 week old kitten Is this normal because they are new to each other or is this going to go on for the rest of their lives?

The existing cat will normally be all hissy and growly and standoff-ish for a few days as its had its territory invaded and the rules changed.

As he/she accepts the new kittens they should become good friends or at least tolerate each other. Given he/she is still a 6 month old kitten then the chances are quite good.. kittens bond with other kittens far easier than older cats bond with kittens or other older cats.

My 6 month old was all growly and hissy at my 3 month old when she came home... within 3 days they were playing and grooming. 1 month on and they are closest friends and are inseperable

This is Quasar the cat (Qwazee for short) - Gf got her yesterday from the RSPCA. We went in to get a 6-8 month old male cat. Came out with a 15 week old female kitten. Sigh. She came up to us and demanded affection.

She has a few distinct modes.

Kitten mode.
Purr (like a harley) / mooch / paw the face mode
Predator mode.

she slept on my face last night

I'll take some better photo's when she's back in kitten mode.

hmm and she also has a few scars on her nose,. GF wanted to call her raisins, however one look at her walking away from us.. Well seriously - We could NOT call her raisins, it would be disturbing.

from my short experience minding a burmese, is it true to say they demand a lot of affection?

he was a bit of a badass, but then he got bitten by a dog one day, and a bit slobbery. he turned out to be a big wuss afraid of everything and in the end like a year or so later (as in the pic) he turned really really slow like going and staring at walls for ages, reacting slow and generally being a big of a doofus. so yeah basically he turned out to be a big wussie that loved being picked up and cuddled like a baby upside down
