Love the reflection of your wallpaper in the second pic, Digital Monkey.

Here's my simple portable laptop, got her just last week.

Default SG03

Here is the SFF I'm currently working on:

My question: Can someone point me to, or give me advice if its possible to make the cd drive blend in more with the silver brushed aluminium look of the case?

These bits are planned to go inside

what i used to do when i was modding was cut the side tabs off the blank face plate, then just double sided tape it to the front of the dvd-rw.

add a couple extra bits right where the eject button is, so you can press on the faceplate and it ejects.

not the most high tech solution, but it works

as for my portable, its just a black eeepc 901. nothing that special, just upgraded to 2gig ram and stuck in a 16gb sdhc. might edit this post later with a pic or two, but that would mean i have to clean all the fingerprints off it :P

Took me a while to get used to it as I owned a 10" EeePC previously. Would prefer it if the keyboard is similar to the 1000H's or even the chiclet-style ones.
But the glossy keyboard felt fine after a while and touch-typing on it wasn't as hard for me as my boyfriend's HP Mini.

This Lenovo looks very nice but the screen is terrible. It's grainy and has an oil like film over it. Don't know if yours has been inflicted with this but while i haven't seen many, those that I have, have this problem. It really screws your eyes after a short period

Yeah, mine is also inflicted with the grainy screen, but it's mostly because of the extra layer placed over the screen.
I never had any problems while dealing with the screen, mainly because I seldom use it to do anything that requires me to look at it for long.
