Default What are the best fans to use ina Coolermaster Cosmos S & V8 HSF

hey guys im new to this custom computer building thing and i need a little help with the airflow in my comp.

i need to purchase some fans for my case n V8 and need help to pick the right ones to do the job.ive heard that noctua are one of the best.im going to fill up all the spaces in my case which is 8 all up - 3 front - blowing in
- 1 bottom - blowing in
- 1 back - blowing out
- 3 top - blowing out

i hav a 200mm fan blowing in the side of the case (which came with it)

now i need to have the fans at no higher then 19dB, 12v (can be undervolted if above db) and the highest cfm that a can get.ive read through madshrimps guide and most of the fans that came in the top ten ,im not able to purchase due to the suppliers here not stocking them.

also what are pwm fans and how do they rate to normal fans

well the v8 wont fit with the side fan i belive.

just get some 1200rpm cm fans, they like come in a 5 pack or 3 pack or something to save money

and keep the stock v8 fan.

IMHO noctua fans are the best for low decibal and good airflow.
I have a full noctua fan kit in my antec 1200 exept the front three and my top 220mm.
Plus they are quiet.. the only real noise i can hear are the front 3 fans.
even with 5 other noctua fans going at 1200 RPM and another 2 going at 800.
As long as you stick to basic principles of in through the front and side.. out through the back and top, you will do great.
As for the CoolerMaster v8, i believe it doesnt fit in the case with your 200mm fan, as terrastrife said above.
Good luck mate =]

you have a problem with your ears then.

each one of my p12's is clearly audiable, with 6 of them they combine like power rangers and make quite the racket.

basic principle would be a single 120mm fan at the back, and then seal everything else up with tape so it only intakes from teh front wher eyour hdds are. that way, airflow from front to back. if you need video card cooling, leave soem side vents open too.

all the new cases nowdays are overkill, mesh front, mesh side, mesh top, mesh bottom, its just a pain in teh ass to seal back up to get some real airflow.

Cosmos S will take most heatsinks if you remove the side fan. Or buy the accessory window side panel to encourage the front and bottom to rear and top air flow. $49 at PCCG. That's what I did to get my Noctua heatsink in.
