Is it possible to transfer a mobile phone number from a plan to another plan that already has a number set up with it? Specifically Optus to Vodafone. Too impatient to wait till Tuesday to order, so am considering just getting a complete new contract with Vodafone and then transferring my existing number over later.
Will this be possible? And does anyone know much about cancellation fees with Optus. I have 2 months left, @ $19/month. Anyone able to guestimate how much this is going to cost me to cancel? |

Yes you can transfer your number between carriers. You will probably be charged the remainder of your contract ($38) depending on the terms and conditions of your agreement.

I think I'm just gonna wait it out and talk to Optus in the morning to find out exactly what the deal is. |
