Default Re: DPreview, how long do they normally take to review cameras? (regarding Canon 7D)

So we always watch with interest www.dpreview.com which always seems to go into amazing depth. I'm pretty much sold on the 7D but would be very interested on their take of the 18mp on the cropped sensor (as they had something to say about the 15mp 50D).

I've been surprised the review isn't up yet. But out of interest does anyone else know how long it normally takes for them to post their In Depth review?

No idea mate, but I have been waiting forever for them to review it (it has been announced for 4+ weeks now). In the end didn't bother waiting and went ahead with the 7D purchase

It normally takes them months to get the final reviews up.

Good luck, they still don't even have one up for the K-7, just a lousy "hands on preview".

But we're pixel freaks, we want comparisons to show off our WANGS DAMN IT!!!

In all honesty, the only part on DPR stuff I read is the conclusion.

Cameras now days are just so good, you really cannot buy a bad one. You might buy one that doesn't suit you, but it won't be a bad camera.

DPR sample galleries suck.

Lets shoot everything stopped down at base ISO...

The K-7 review was published a couple of weeks back....they just forgot to update the header.

As Lachie said above....they're all good enough these days and it's more a matter of ergonomics and trade offs in features.
