ATi 3870x2 in crossfire

hey dudes i got 2 3870x2 vid cards both installed, both locate in windows, but why dont they improve a single frame in 3dmark, how do i know if crossfire is on since there is no option in the damm ati ccc, im running the latest drivers for the ati.

ive got a e8500 at 4.15
2 gig ram
ep45-dsp4 mobo

running windows 7 x64, but regardless what windows i use its still the same fps on 3d mark. anything i can try?

Is the crossfire bridge on and are both cards in device manager?

yep bridge is on and in device maneger under display i see

Radeon 3870 x 2
Radeon 3870 x 2

so i assume that means both are in?

I'd pull out one of the cards, boot into windows, then shutdown and then put the second card in and see if CCC displays the crossfire option.

From memory, you need four of those items in total displayed in the device manager, unless they've changed something since a year 1 ago.

ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2

ok done that now i can see all 4, now ive enabled crossfire in ati ccc but the frames in futuremark have not changed.

Who cares about 3DMark

See if actual GAMES run better, not just 3DMark. And get GPU-Z to see if CF is enabled.

You will only see a boost in the FPS in Canyon Flight with quadfire, I run 3870x2 quadfire in my backup.
What score do you get now? I am pushing 20,600 with a Q6600 @3.6Ghz, DDR2 and an X48 Gigabyte mobo with the 3870x2's.
