Probably not.

Chances are that Z-5500 sub will go louder for sure, being a 10" model, and fairly well powered.

Matter of fact, the Z-5500 sub is no slouch, it's half decent, only problem is the way they have tuned it to sound boomy and loud, but you might like that sound.

Matter of fact, I gave away a cheap 8" HT sub not long ago, it couldnt even come close to the z-5500 sub in terms of volume, and also, it only went down to 40hz, where as the Z sub hits 30, meaning deeper bass.

There are better subs out there for sure, but the Z is ok, if you can stand the boomyness of it.

Hi again yes ive heard the 5500 many times at my mates house he has it at around 4.5 bars and equlized it in WMP so it didnt sound as much like a half deaf person with grenades going off.

Would it be better if i just got a 5.1 system from JB or Harvey or somthing it would be much easier thats for sure and much cheaper?
