I'm also very interested in picking one up for internet surfing and the like..
I'll need it for uni next year. I'm not sure if i should wait untill the new VIA chips are released, which is supposed to be ~ Q1 2010. Just had a look, can't find the article. From memory they were ~20% faster, and consumed 20% less power.... give or take ![]() I'm worried it'll be too slow. I already crack the sh*ts with my AMD64 3200+... |

I was interested in one of these because I'd heard good things about the original NC10. Decided I wanted something with a bit more power though as it would be my full time laptop

Since the NC20 has been released Intel has released their CULV line of processors which are a lot more powerful than the Nano/Atom
While still being slightly more expensive, a CULV based machine will be a lot more powerful and more like a real notebook as opposed to a netbook. Also you get more RAM, bigger HD and windows 7 on most models.
