Hey Ice,

Good news!

My Z-5500 sub is cutting out = excuse for refund (this is my second set of z-5500s from the same place) = money to buy proper amp to drive my Dream Speakers, and probably grab a 12" dream sub too.....

Anyone got some recomendations for some passive bookshelves around ~400? Going out this weekend to go try some out and also have a Xonar STX on the way

Don't get the first ones you hear that sound good. For 400 smackers look for solid 2 way with a decent crossover sized to Q.

Well i had a amp but no sound card, and my audio was really bad!

So i would probaly first get a really good sound card then an amp.

It also depends how big your amp is. My one was a really big one, and with no sound card, it made a very loud humming noise.
