Default Fujica STX-1n

Hey Guys I'm currently knew to the world of SLR Camera's got hooked by a friend of mine and I was able to pick up a Fujica STX-1n for like $30 I know its Vintage but It can still take good pictures. Yet the problem is I am unsure what lenses will be able to support it seeing as it was made so long a go, and was wondering if anyone knows some info on the world of vintage cameras would be able to help me out

I had one of these briefly but the shutter curtain failed. It seemed to be quite flimsy so be gentle with it. As Athiril pointed out these later Fujica are X mount - probably the most obscure camera mount of all. You'll be lucky to find anything in that mount aside from the occasional 70-200ish zoom, not that it really matters as there's plenty of fun to be had with the usual 50.

The light seals will have almost certainly disintegrated, see here on replacing them. http://www.mattdentonphoto.com/camer...als/index.html If memory serves these use the common LR44 or SR44 battery. So grab a bulk pack of some cheap film and get cracking!

You may also want the manual but it's just a standard mechanical full manual slr.

It's not a great loss. If you want to play with film seriously there's cheap film slr all over ebay, get something from the major manufacturers and lenses are easily had.

Btw old Ricohs are absurdly cheap, well made and use the excellent Pentax lenses.

Pentax lenses on the STX-1n? Nup, sorry. What lens do you have with the camera?

I figured as much. Old zoom lenses are really horrible, I'd certainly not bother with something like that. You'll be able to take good pictures in low light with the 55. Working with a prime lens is different to modern zoom photography, but it's really quite rewarding.

Ok still having the extra lenses would be helpful even if its A 30MM one or a 200MM one or something like that just having them and testing em out as this will be my first SLR until I could afford a Digital SLR
