Default Best way to organise 4 x 1TB External HDDs

OK, in a moment of (?madness), I bought 4 x 1TB external HDDs (those $95 from Officeworks).

What's the best way to organise them? Hook them up to a USB hub and a computer and network share them?

Is there way to bypass the computer and connect them to a Router (I have a Billion 7800N)

Is it possible to make a NAS out of them or put them in a RAID configuration?

Thanks in advance for any ideas/suggestions

IMO take them all out of their enclosures, put them in a 4-bay esata/USB enclosure then share them out over your computer.

Some routers have a USB port for sharing drives but typically only support 1.

USB hubs are a bad idea for multiple storage devices... best used for keyboards/mouses etc.
