looks likethe corsair HX I think.....can pick one up tomorrow - I cant afford to have this rig flake out as I am doing a full system back up over the weekend - SO I will only have one server with all the data on it while I rebuild the ZFS arrangements on the other machie and the NAS.

Cheers guys

Hx is a good solid choice....i am biased as use them in my rigs...have also used a range of others, antic, super flower etc, and the only one I had an issue with was a cooler master. But obviously that's just my view.

I run a hx850 in the server as I liked the efficiency and the single 12v rail with I think ~70A...but it is overkill for my 16 mechanical drives and 2ssd's..though I was glad I had it when I added another 7 HDD's for a total of 25 while transferring data to a backup array.

Thanks for the advice guys....Got a HX650 this morning. Nearly went with the ANTEC 750 but wanted the modular connectors.

BIzarrely enough, it didnt resolve my spindown problems with the samsung drives I have in my new array.....it appears that is to do with Freenas and the way it handles power management...

It did however stop the 2008 server crashes and the odd drop out on other things so the system is now far more stable.

Next job is to do the major transfers of media and get some backupage going..(BLuray backups already moving across - should be done for tonight...)

Cheers all..
