Default SSD Raid with different SSD's

Hi,

I currently have an OCZ Vertex Turbo 60gb drive.

I am thinking of adding a 2nd SDD, probably the OCZ Vertex II 60gb.

Now, if i raid these drives, will it work? And if so, will it limit them?

Ie older drive writes at 120MB/s, new one at 275MB/s (max i know, and not real world)

But will it mean it will average out to around 200MB/s or will it default to the slowest write speed?

And either way, would i get better performance from just using the OCZ Revodrive instead? Its rated at 540MB/s / 480MB/s. So that would be faster than having the two in raid and be less troublesome than having to use RAID disks etc?

Default

Raid 0: Speed will essentially double the slowest speed... minus a tad.

I would say 200ish, best to use the new one by itself if storage space is not a problem.
