I got my PS3 copies in Canberra today. Street date broken!

What times are people doing around OZ.

Ive got used to the controller and did a 1:29.662 during the race in a Lotus and finished 3rd.

Its very arcade like the way you can sling it around corners,i cant find a good compromise between traction control off and on.

Still good fun,the tracks look unreal.

so far i've found that turkey and silverstone don't have racing line properly implemented, despite having the racing line turned on for the corners they don't show up

Holy crap this is complicated. Gives me a better appreciation for what the teams go through. Also the menu makes less sense to me than the one in Dirt 2.

Seems to replicate the racing very well though, which unfortunately like real F1 unless there's an engine explosion or something is boring as hell as its so clinical lol. (I watch F1 for the spectacle and drama, unless you do some of your own in this then its pretty boring)

the fun/satisfaction gained by pulling together a cracker lap makes up for it.

last night playing custom grand prix online i managed to pull out a 1:36 on bahrain (cars were of equal performance) on the very last lap of qualifying, pipping the brit players by a good 1.5 seconds

then it went all to shit when the racing line didn't show up during the race

I'll be honest, I'm not the best racing game driver in terms of being fair to the AI. (Eg: if I can get an inside line then Im taking it and to hell with the consequences) So this has tested me a bit not to just ram the crap out of everyone.

i know what you mean, i can happily do time trials all day but throw other cars into the mix and i'm pretty hopeless
