I bought it
![]() I play MW2 a hella lot (9 days worth of gameplay so far online) so these maps are a nice change to the same ol' same ol' I've been playing since November. Honestly, with the amount of MW2 I play, the $20 is actually pretty good value.

OMFG.. i thought id dive in an buy the map pack..
I paid and all.. but my US disc is not compatible with any of the downloads. Im not sure if they warn you which discs are compatible before hand.. but now they have my money and I have to either buy a AUS/EUR version of the game or somehow find a way to purchase from the US Store. (and pay twice!) Why cant they make it compatible with all discs!? Shouldn't be a bloody difference.

Not the point, Your paying a 1/4 of the retail purchase price for (Think about it MW2 came with 16 M/p Maps across all modes, the Sp campaign lasted for the average game maybe 4-5 hours, then include the coop mode.) what maybe 1-2 % of game? Supporting companies who do this only makes it worse, its infectious and before you know it games come out with 5 maps 1 hour of game play and you have to purchase an unlock code for the rest :/

Game share it if you're that tight in your rear exit. Works out to be $4.40 each.

yup sure, but when cod 8 comes out and your paying $2.99 to unlock a weapon or perk, $10 a map, $1 per save game, then... well fuck you very much

Sorry to resurrect the thread (curious how there's a lively discussion going on over at Whirlpool but nothing here)...
I received a free copy of CoD:MW2 from the Contagious Network, but it gives me the barfs (seriously can't play FPS games), so I'm gonna give it away - thought I'd try mixing things up a bit to make it interesting. (It would've been so much easier if I could've just run it on Facebook, but they've got a policy against people running "promotions" of any kind, nevermind that I'm just doing this for shits and giggles rather than trying to promote any specific business... /rant). |

Recently i've began having a game every day or two on MW2 after a few months away from the game. Something I am noticing but am not sure about is hacks for PS3. Specifically with Claymores. Not sure if this is a hack but something's up for sure because i've been playing close attention, watching kill cams etc and seeing irregularities daily. Interested to hear your thoughts on this.
Let me first say that at my new place (been here a few months), my connection is pretty poor. Usually 2 yellow bars and at other times 3 green. Never red and never full green. Watching the kill cams I regularly notice that i've almost emptied a mag and not a single shot has been fired from my gun in the kill cam even though I am dead. Not having a whinge about the lag - but could it have an effect on the claymores i've set? Yesterday for example I had set a claymore at the top of stairs/doorway to the red brick room on the left side of favela. I was in the room and I hear my claymore click, the guy killed me and I watched the kill cam. Now in the cam reply he was standing on the claymore, it clicked, he shot me but the claymore didn't go off at all - not even 2-3 seconds later. Regularly I notice that the claymores dont kill people but they dont have any perks to delay claymore etc and they also rarely blow up. So are there hacks out there or is the delay in my connection causing a delay in the claymore also?

Bought a PS3 and MW2 today so I could play my nephew online. This is first console I've owned in 11 years (I used to have a N64).
Edit: nm, found it. ![]() Thanks Scott. Last edited by deepspring; 4th October 2010 at 8:00 PM. |

Guessing noone has experienced what I described above?
I've actually had a few games recently where my connection has been 3/4 green bars (max on PS3) and the claymores have been going off fine. This leads me to think the delays on claymore explosions being down to the lag / connection issues I have at times.

I just re-read your post, If they have lightweight/marathon on they can easily run straight through a claymore. I only use Marathon and I find I can run straight through or even past a claymore, especially if not set correctly (at the best angle etc)
