Yeah, i have some with me at the moment "eats another spoonfull"

ok, here's my recipe. i know i tried to spell cinnimon about 3 different way so im sure one of them is right :P

assuming you use store bought pastry

9 granny smith apples
raw sugar
150g butter
cinnemon
pinapple

preheat oven to 190 degrees celcius

peel the apples and slice them into thin pieces, yet dice the last 2 to change up the consistancy of the 'meat' in the finished pie

place all the apple into a frying pan with preheated butter... stirr constantly until apples are cooked whilst adding teaspoon after teaspoon of sugar until all the apples are cooked all the way through and are soft to the touch.

using the juice that's in the frying pan get your pastry brush and put a layer of this juice all on the surface and sides.

lay the bottom sheet of pastry down make sure not to tear it, but fill in all the corners ect and make sure there's plenty of overlap.

spoon the now cooked apple into the pastry base, however leaving as much juice in the frying pan as possible

now add in your pinapple pieces that you have just diced and add in cinnemon with a pinch of salt.

stirr in the pinapple so it blends well.

cover the pie in the top layer of pastry be careful not to tear it. Press the edges together or even fold them to give a good seal. this will ensure you get maximum flavour throughtout the pie.

once that is done place in your preheated oven for 20 minutes

after 20 minutes is done put 2-3 skewer holes in the pastry top middle to let out the excess steam.

place back in oven and wait another 15-25 minutes ( depends on fan forced or how accurate your temp gauge is)

once your pie is ready serve with ice cream with cinnamin dusting

I don't think that's what he meant by "get any?"

I love apple pie (I'm talking a slightly unhealthy love too). I've tried various mixes of apple, pear and apricot, all of which were awesome.

Pineapple sounds great. I think I'm going to experiment and see what else could go in there (nectarine pie?).

Bit of custard over the top of everything would have been nice as well.
