Can anyone else spot the issues with this ad ? - Its the current Scoopon, apart from the fact that to get a few prints will be worth a lot more than the original voucher.

The reflection in the lens suggests a sunset/sunrise seascape so the pop up flash makes sense
If your not shooting seascapes with your pop up flash your not doing it right.

I think you're making a bigger deal than it needs to be. I'm sure that scoopon just gets the deal and then makes up the rest from stock photo's. No need to get your elistist panties in a knot. 'Expert' photographers who notice and get upset about this sort of thing are unlikely to take up the offer anyway. This thread is like watching Trekkies complain about the wrong badge pin being worn in episode #137 at 40min23secs.

I've shot with models who have had portfolios done by these companies with several of them paying close to $2000 for some pretty average (and formula) photos. That's the reason i hate these types of ads. BTW for your 10Base2 video card. At least have a NE2000 or WD8003

Anyway this thread is not about discussing the merits of ortherwise of their business model. It is the image accompanying the ad that I wanted to share

I get that, it just seems a bit pointless to laugh at the contrast between the idea of a 'professional photographer' and the images used to advertise those services, when its clearly just some stock photos used by a third party website who've made no real attempt to accurately portray the photographers actual abilities. Regardless of the actually quality of the images the company is capable of making there no real connection between the 3rd party quickly made advert and them. Hell, they even have a link so you can actually look at the website gallery itself.
