Here's some pics of my first attempt at watercooling. Apols for the shitty quality pics - I only have an iPhone for photography.

small taste of my new loop :) im fairly happy with it, and managed to recover about 20c off my cpu! (there was a lot crap in the block, i assume it was due to the flaking)
I'm sure creekin will enjoy the tube res, coolant and koolance block ;)

Not 100% happy with the loop, but will do until the card gets a block and then ill adjust it. Still happy with it overall :)

Thanks, i need to shorten the Mem->Rad tube so its at the same angle as other but that will happen when i flush it next. Over watercooling already, but I keep coming back for more punsihment :/

As for GPU, nah, i go through GPU's quicker than undies so I hate to watercool them.

    my current primary PC.
the hardware and loop is getting pretty old now.
haven't flushed the loop in over 2 years. dusted the rad a few time tho. could probably do with a another dusting, the dust bunnies are multiplying like... um, bunnies.

system will be updated soon so the cable management & current gear in setup is a bit meh. long live the good old q6600...

    anyway

    Tubing: clearflex 1/2 inch loop
Water Blocks: Swiftech Apogee GTX CPU block, 2 x MCW30 chipset blocks
    Pump: MCP655
Reservoir: 5 1/4 inch dual bay, brand?
    Radiator: MCR360
    Radiator Fans: 3x 120mm NoiseBlocker 1950rpm fans || 3x Thermaltake 1300rpm fans
Case: Thermaltake Mozart TX Aluminium case.

    That case is a behemoth!

You have two different speed fans for push and pull? I wouldn't think that would work so good?

    I do like it though.

Try smaller tubing (3/8 5/8) you'll find it much easier to work with and the difference in flow rate is negligible.

    cheers mate.

yeah she's big but the case isn't as deep as i'd like. the case will either be modded in the coming months or swapped out with one of those tasty Case Lab beasts. if you haven't seen 'em their big, beautiful and prettier than Mountain Mod cases

no the fans have been throttled down so they are all roughly pushing/pulling the same amount of air. yeah you are right, it's not ideal. should have 6 identical fans.

His runs are so straight I don't think 1/2" tubing is going to worry him.
3/8" tubing is sooo the flavour of the month at the moment though, like AC blocks and HW labs rads :p

I've been using 3/8 5/8 for years and I will never go back to fat and ugly 1/2 3/4

    i'm the opposite.

i started out with 3/8 ID tubing but hated the look and kinking.
i disliked the 'look' mainly due the massive cases i use, tubing of that thickness just looked a little silly in big cases.

when i moved to 1/2 ID, i loved the 'meatier' look plus no need for anti-kinking aids making the builds cleaner.

i know there is negligible difference between the two in regard to cooling efficiency and flow rate, tho it was an issue with earlier pumps (pre 655's?).
