Default Intel DH67GD integrated graphics with discrete card

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right place for this... it's techincally Intel hardware as it's an Intel branded board, but anyway please move if it's not right.

I'm looking to grab one of these boards for my new SB build BUT I neeeeed the integrated graphics (ie: The HD2000 or HD3000) to work in conjunction with a discrete card.

The idea is that currently I have three screens; 1 x 22" being driven by my gtx260 and 2 x 17" being driven by an 8400GS.

I want to make sure that once the pci-e 16x is populated, the onboard graphics doesn't automatically get switched off. I don't mind if it's an option I have to switch on in the BIOS, I'm pretty familiar with playing around in there.

Ideally I'd like to do away with the 8400GS and use the igp to drive the peripheral monitors.

Cheers in advance guys.

M.

yep i have that mobo you can do everything you wanted including using the 2 side monitors through the IGP as extended desktop of the discrete GPU
by default i think the IGP is disabled with discrete card but you can change it in bios so its always enabled

no probs i only tried it after reading your post I didnt know they could work in combination like that. pretty neat.
the mobo is ok but I get cold boot hang sometimes and the bios seems a bit buggy. in particular i would stay away from the fast boot options. for me they disabled the usb3 controller and caused random bsod when waking from sleep

Not really looking to use any of the features like that; I'm planning on upgrading to an SSD so hoepfully there'll be no need.

Not great to hear about the cold boot issues..... hopefully (no offence) it's isolated to just you :P

Cheers
