Question Case Position Poll - On the Desk or Under??

Ok, this is kind of on the same vein as the "take a photo of your desk thread" but I would like to know where you all sit your cases? On the desk, or under it?

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that a good majority of cases are built to be put on the ground. For me, I have spent a bit of time making the inside of my case look good according to my taste, why would I want to put it on the ground?

So, my thinking is, if we all put cases on the desk to look at them then why are there so many cases made as if they are going to sit under the desk? Post up your reasons why you put it where you do!

Jamie

p.s. im on the desk, side off.

Currently its under the desk, its an unfinished monster, so I dont want to look at it in its current form!

When I get around to finishing/modding/scrapping, the next incarnation will be on the desk in full glory*

*unless it looks shit again

On the floor. I don't have a huge expanse of desk to put it on.

Above.

Mine's sitting on the top level of my desk. Keeps the floor and desk clear.

Current PC under the desk, taken from on the desk.

Did this because the fans became noisy, and I have a removable shelf on the desk so I decided to try it out on a lower level setup. So far the noise is culled a little but the fans still whine away under the desk, and Im finding it a lot harder to get to the power/USB on the front panel as a result.

My next build in the upcoming month with IVB release will be a TJ07 which is DEFINITELY going on the desk and have placed my vote as such. Its going to be a monster and I am including aesthetics which I want to show off up high!

Always on the desk. I don't put work into a build to have it sit on the ground.

Obligatory I also have many bench rigs line. They also sit on the desk, but a separate desk to my main pc.

I said mine are on the ground, but they aren't actually sitting on the ground, mostly. Godzilla is, I think, but the others are on little trolleys with wheels on the bottom.

Depends on room. If it's carpet on the desk, if it's wooden floor boards or tiles on the floor.

Currently it's on the desk. Also makes the optical drives, hotswap bays and usb ports more easily accessible.
