I finished the game last night (didn't really do the side quests, will do them this play through) and to be honst, found myself a bit let down. The final twists and turns are pretty lame and the final fight is just a let down.

I also feel that characters were added to this game for no real reason, I mean there was no point to two face and Cobblepot Spoiler below, highlight to read:
Why was Cobblepot even fighting with Freeze? When all the lore in the game is about how Cobblepot hates Joker?

And certain things at the end of the game were just totally unanswered Spoiler below, highlight to read:
How is Batman going tos ave the rest of Gotham?

I think I still prefer AA cause it was a totally different type of game, I felt like each enemy fight was like a puzzle and how will I solve this one? Where as in AC I just went in and dominated once I got a couple of upgrades.

Anyway just my opinion, I still liked the game and am plying through it again with all my unlocks etc carrying on.

Agreed.

I finished the fight and was genuinely surprised that it was the end of the game.

I really enjoyed it tho and will be playing again once i go through and finish all the side quests and joker puzzles.

Same. Currently on 349/440. Want to get through this all before hitting BF3.

Even tho I have finished the main story, I am still enjoying going around completing the side missions. What a great game.

If anyone is interested in selling their Batman Arkham City Steel Book Case then please let me know.

Or

If you would like to trade your Steel Book Case for my Art Book Case (What you get in the collectors edition) then I would be interested in the trade as well.

Finished the main storyline and all side mission beside the Riddler trials and trophies.

Kinda disappointed with the ending IMO. Not exactly the way it turned out, just the final battle didn't seem as climatic as AA and the twist with Hugo Strange seemed too convenient or quick.

I don't think they even answered how Hugo Strange was able to deduce Batman's identity either as Spoiler below, highlight to read:
it stated in the game that Strange approached Ra's al Ghul with the information, not the other way around.

Catwoman missions were a bit meh. It's like they this great idea to mix up playable characters and forced the different Catwoman style to change things up. I'd rather be playing as Robin or Nightwing to be honest and have them very similar. Catwoman missions weren't bad, it's just that it really mixed up the momentum of the game for me.

Oh well, at least I can look forward to some DLC!

I'm not normally a fan of open world or sandbox games, but I've been pleasantly surprised by how much I'm enjoying this game.
Everything just seems so well balanced. When you're leveled up enough to start charging into combat, they throw a new challenge at you - even if it's just keeping one of Riddler's goons alive until last...

The main story suffers from it. Wait till you get to the end. I liked the game it was good but I didn't love it like I loved AA. I mean it feels to me like they just tried loading too many characters into the story without really having them add value.

Agreed. Pretty much every villain you encounter is like that except for the Joker. Don't get me wrong, I love the game but i've gone from thinking it was GOTY, to just a good game.

I also think there are way too many trophies this time around. I'm finding the whole locating task quite monotonous now and some of the tricks are just a pain in the ass to get. Don't get me wrong, i'm all for skill which is fine but things like the touchpad timing contraptions are just outright annoying.

Interesting commentary here. Is AA sexist?

I finished it last night and this sums up my feelings perfectly. A loved AA and this is still good, just not great. I actually enjoyed a few of the other main enemies (the museum with penguin was fun and the fight with freeze was good) but story-wise their were all just filler.

The catwoman parts where great but really limited. It felt like they only went for about 15-20 minutes each and occurred right at the start or right at the end of the story rather than being spaced throughout it. I would have liked to see more of these or maybe some other characters to play as.

The riddler bits were a real let down for me. I'm not normally into collecting 100's of items in games but I found myself really sucked in to them in AA. I ended up solving all the puzzles, collecting all the trophies and getting all the teeth, all of which, especially the riddles, really added to my enjoyment of AA. This time around they just didn't seem as interesting, there are way to many trophies and they ranged all the way from much to easy to annoyingly hard. The riddles all seemed to stand out like a sore thumb, virtually all of them can be solved just by taking photos of things that seem out of place or overly detailed without ever checking the clues.

Lastly the final boss fight was a huge let down. I was really amazed as the final cut-scene started playing as I just couldn't believe they were going to end the game like that. OF all the boss fights it was probably the least interesting, least challenging and featured a fairly bland enemy.

Having said all those negative things I still love the actual game play, and that was more than enough to get me through the game.

Just finished it as well and have to agree, end boss was meh. I found hunting enemies in the city was super fun though especially taking out the snipers near the end. What other games are similar to this? Only other game ive played like this was Predator: Concrete Jungle and Man Hunt.
