Thanks mate.

Yes, a front panel mod is still on the cards, but I'm on a somewhat limited budget at the moment. I was hoping to do the mod myself, but soon realised that it will need to be laser cut to get the quality of finish I'm after. There's a laser-cutting place near my work, I just need to get a quote from them...

There's still plenty of wiring/sleeving work to be done so I'll probably get that sorted first. I'll throw up some pics showing where I'm at over the next few days.

Thanks for the feedback mate, and welcome to OCAU

Ravens FTW! This has been a long and drawn out build, still a work in progress but I'll get there one day...

Some nice RV01 builds linked in this thread, and several more sweet RV02 builds around the forums too. Still haven't seen any 01's with a back panel rad mod like mine though...
Stick up some pics of your rig in OC & Hardware, or post a thread in modding asking for ideas... people round here are always happy to stick their oar in...

Haha thanks . And since I'm a student and don't work I doubt ill be able to do the things you have done and have. Although right now im getting Negative airflow. I KNOW? Crazy right? 2 180's fans hahah... my top fan runs at 3000 RPM so i dont blame it with 133CFM.

Im thinking about either cutting the clear window to allow an extra fan because my 560 gets real hot, or even a hole at the back so it can direct the airflow towards it. Have any suggestions?

Cheers for the feedback mate. It's pretty much no longer a mod project and more a daily driver these days. I figured out fairly quickly that as a distinctive-looking standalone mod, the Raven is an awesome chassis. But it's really really shit as a daily-use rig for someone who likes tinkering with their hardware and WC gear.

The plan is to buy a "proper" watercooling chassis like a TJ and dump all the current gear in that. Then save my pennies, strip the cages and most of the internal metal out of the Raven, reinforce it where necessary and start from scratch with a properly planned mod based on what I learned from this initial effort. I would still really love to see many of my orignal mod and lighting ideas in a finished product.

Here are some photos of the current "arrangements".

Cutting a hole in the rear panel for an intake fan is pretty easy as you can see from the earlier pics, and you could mount it on the exterior of the metal chassis with the back of the fan poking through the plastic fascia, so it wouldn't foul the motherboard.

wicked, your into production too?! sweet setup man totally approve- looks alot like my setup except ive squeezed a intuos 3 where that mixer is.
got any music to share ?

the great part about the Raven cases is the way the video cards mount- in order to promote natural air extraction as heat rises.

if i were to water cool- id avoid the raven- even tho it looks sick.

what was the longest you've not touched the loop for?

Seriously that is one amazing mod!, I would love to mod my Rv01 but I have no idea where I would start. But I will definitely be stealing your Radiator built into the back of the case idea if you don't mind

Just read through the log, very nice work man, the RV01 is a nice and definitely unique case and you did a great job.
