I found that the modsmart tool was sh**house as well, ended up using a 1mm mini flathead screwdriver, worked like a charm.

Also I only just noticed that Corsair AXs have the double wire thing going on (two wires feeding into the one pin). Is there a way to sleeve this part without using heatshrink ?

My silverstone had the same thing. If you use heatshrink, it doesnt look that bad apart from that I dont really know how you could sleeve that, but I'm by no means an expert.

The easiest way to deal with Y cables, move the join to the middle of the wire run so it is behind the motherboard tray. you can use heat shrink there an no one will really notice.
the Y wires are to increase efficiency over longer lengths of wires. you will notice on the Silverstone short series of cables there are no Y cables on the 24pin cables. I just did a SS 650w and just removed the Y altogether. its running fine.

Yeah. Although id have preferred a cleaner look i guess i will have to heatshrink it. The PSU isnt visible anywhere anyway so no fuss.

I have this French tweezer tool with sharp tip that isn't allowed to be sold here because its too pointy, but its incredibly useful for fine wire work, and they de-pin better than your standard tool because of the control you have moving it back and forth/closing opening it.
