Unless you were running something to stress the CPU as well, your totals are for mostly the videocard and some fraction (1/4? 1/6?) of the CPU.

Thumbs up

Alright, just tested that scenario, although very highly unrealistic under normal use. CPU all cores and GPU at full blast:
500W at the wall. ~450W PSU

16gb RAM
240Gb SSD HD
1Tb WD greenpower HD
SATA DVD writer
Asus essence STX
4x 120mm case fans
Don't listen to idiots saying no.

I have a 5 year old HX-620, running

i7 2600k OC'd
GTX580 OC'd
CPU water cooling
Z77 sabertooth motherboard
8gb ram
SSD + 3 HDD's
Bluray drive + DVD writer drive
~8 120mm fans plus a 250mm fan, most LED
Heaps of random USB crap, card reader etc

Works perfectly fine running 24/7.

HOWEVER, as mentioned, it only has 2xPCIE power connectors, to run SLI with cards that need 2 each, you obviously won't have enough.
