Is one of them in your bag? I was wondering how to carry 2 long guns last night.

The alice backpack can hold a primary weapon in addition to the one you're carrying. It takes up quite a few slots in the backpack; I prefer to fill with beans and pepsi as I've been living out bush for a few days, just ducking into small towns when I run low on food drink (and to cap a few Z's). Im done with cherno and elektro... bunch of fucking savages lol.

I've died more times in the little villages than I have in the big cities. I was huddled around a fire last night - what appeared to be a fuel drum on fire - in an abandoned warehouse (as my body temp got down to 53) and some random walked in and huddled beside me. Stood in silence for awhile and then both went our separate ways.

I no longer trust anyone - too many bad experiences!

If im looting a small town and find fresh corpses, I generally high tail it back to the woods. Fairly unlucky to bump into anyone in the wilderness... when you do spot another player they're usually miles away and you can have some fun tracking them from a distance with them being completely unaware of your presence.

Just love that there's so many different ways to play the game.

Yeah, the M4A1 is in the backpack. I found the best strategy was to drop my primary weapon, pick up the spare weapon, transfer the spare weapon to the backpack (it takes up 10 slots plus ammunition), and then pick up the primary weapon again. Just make sure you have enough backpack slots or you might lose the weapon completely. Dropping your primary weapon can be a bit risky as well, as there is a bug where it sometimes disappears permanently.

Oh so it's not for me then???

That's ok, when you run out of ammo for your fancy gun as we battle a horde of zeds I'll shoot you in the leg and run off leaving you to the mercy of the undead.

When are we playing next? I'm still in Cherno where I left off last night.

I'm still happy to give it to you, but you gave me a lecture on how the Winchester is far superior. I'll bring my friend up to speed and make our way back to Cherno if you want.

LOL, true dat.

Hey, it's yours to give to whoever you want, I'm just having a tease. Get your friend to add me in Steam. It may be worth while coming to Cherno only if you don't have much in the way of supplies. If you guys can find an Alice pack for him and stock up on supplies, I'll gather some meds and meet you somewhere else. TLDR: meet you where ever you want.

Edit: Hotfix out apparently. My guess is getting rid of the bandit skins.

The database was full and was preventing people from spawning properly with a fresh character.

So how far north have people ventured so far? I am currently in the city of Dolina after travelling through a number of towns off the east coast. Plan is to head to the main airfield for a look around if I can survive the journey.

Ever since I have started playing DayZ I still have not found a map in game. Been using a map of Chernarus on my phone instead
