Whichever you can find cheaper, they're both damn good. I personally would sway towards the Galaxy S3. I'd be delighted with either

I'm also deciding between the S3 and the One XL on Telstra.
The S3 is a better phone with superior battery life and screen, but the One XL has 4G compatability. There will probably be a 4G S3 sometime in the future, but there is no news yet and I need the phone soon. I've owned the S and SII both with great custom firmware and loved them, so I'm leaning towards the S3, but at the same time also want to try out a different phone and 4G speeds. What does everybody else think?

Well if 4G is going to be the clincher for you, then get the One XL. It was the clincher for me

Went the Xl only because I have to go with Telstra for work coverage.
The s3 was $71 where the xl was $65. It was cheaper, had 4g and not having to deal with kies was the motivator. If your not going with Telstra the s3 might be on the cards. Only issue with the xl is the battery could be a little better apart from that extremely happy with it especially coming from the S1. |

They are both awesome phones, the screens on them are fantastic no matter which one you get. But the S3 has an SD card slot so although the One X ships with 32gb for a lower price you dont get the option to upgrade. The One X also doesnt have a replaceable battery as the case cant be opened like an Iphone.
