That would be awesome, I'm madly trying to find time to get it ready for fish. I also have some purple chromis dahane on hold.

Now it's 8+ months later, here's a follow up picture as it's now fully established. Some of the occupants have changed for better & for worse, but it seems stable and they are reasonably well behaved.

Gravel and water added. Spray bar done, just need to figure out if i will paint it of try grow some sort of moss over it? I wanted sand too but had trouble finding it around my area. I have used bunnings play sand with most of my other tanks, but im over it, its to fine.

Cheers mate. It's about 30cm deep and the light is a 30 watt job off ebay. I only run it for about 6 hours (to avoid algae problems). Aside from that I just use a few drops of liquid fertiliser and change the water once a fortnight. As I said, nice and simple

sweet. Yeah im setting up a 2ft cube and im looking for a light. I have noticed the led floodlights being used on a few tanks. I wasn't sure on what wattage to go with. Think i may need a 50w. Im heading for the same setup as you, cheap, easy and simple.

All I know about these fish is that they were sold to me as Purple Chromis Dahane. Maybe someone can shed some more light.

That is a type of Kribensis, Pelvicachromis taeniatus, similar or a hybrid.

When taking pics of your fish, do you use some kind of filter on the camera as the images look so clear?
