Take it to a video store, some of them have DVD polishing services that'll fix your disk up.

I took mine to a Civic video and they sent it away, a week later it was all good!

Any plastic polish good for polycarbonate will work.
Just be sure to polish only in an inward/outward direction, not around the disc.

Depends on the machine really. We had an electric Disc Doctor at our video store. This thing was insanely good (when used properly)

Its essentially just cut & polishing the surface. Ours had 4 levels of coarseness for the pads (like levels of sandpaper) and 2 types of cutting compound (cut & polish)

If you did each level properly with appropriate amount of cut or polish you would eventually get a mirror finish that looks like new. I literally saved dozens of discs I thought were doomed.

The only time it won't work is if the cover/enamel or whatever is scratched that has the reflective surface on the back.

Not sure where you would find one though. Just had a look on ebay and they're all piece of shit hand ones with only 1 pad / spray... probably do more damage than good.
