Normal max temp for Core i5-750?
What's the max safe temp for one of these? I had mine overclocked to 3.5GHz and ran Intel burn test, but stopped when the CPU reached 85C within the first 10 seconds of the test.
Is it at all possible to blow/damage CPUs these days, or will they shut down before they reach an unsafe temperature? The cooler is a cheapo CoolerMaster 92mm heatsink. Far from the best but it's probably a bit better than stock. Thanks.
