Not sure, CPUZ just says 7...whatever the hell that means.

It's also showing 1.468 or something quite possibly due to vdroop.

Not sure if this is the exact right thread, but, My 3930K is running 4200mhz at 1.27v under a Noctua NH-D14, my temps are;
Core0-53*
Core1-48*
Core2-41*
Core3-50*
Core4-52*
Core5-52*
Package-54*
Should a reseat be in order due to the 12* variation in temperature from hottest to coldest core?

@epicpccases use normal cpuz to find rev number. you are at too much vcore. dont slay ur chip

@spongonator ur temps are fine. theres always been variations in temperatures. if you're really worried check ur thermalpaste. i dont even think u need to change vcore for 4.2ghz...i can reach 45 x 100 on auto vcore.

auto vcore will in fact increase your vcore as you OC. Auto is not "stock".

Depends on your CPU. Also there is no more set vcore, it's a VID range. This VID will vary depending on your CPU's c-states.

EDIT: under turbo my vcore goes up to 1.29v. This is set to auto. (3930K)

i just want to get my temps all relatively close, then ill start pushing it as much as i can and then go back to something thats stable and wont degrade, 1.27 keeps it under 50* no matter what game i play, and it tops out at 60* with IBT/prime

Maybe I'll go in early one morning lol. What's an easy, no brainer OC for that combo?

45 x 100 at 1.25v...if that doesnt work bump it up slowly. 1.275 usually does the trick.

If you're a pussy then go 42 x 100. If you've got man balls, go for 5.

Not so much a pussy, but it's not my machine, and has to be rock solid. Is 42 x 100 achievable on auto volts in most cases?

Since AUTO overvolts aggressively, yes?

So is it better to hard set the voltage to avoid it going over the desired value, crying unnecessary high temps?
