Haven't posted anything that we've cooked from here yet! You should have seen the old PoS kitchen in the previous place - I should have taken a photo. This kitchen is such a pleasure to cook in. Will give it a good workout next weekend as I'm doing a Christmas in July feast for 12 which should be a blast.

Looks like a great stove-top Scon!

Is that a single basin sink? they make me cry..don't know how people wash up properly in them

It is indeed. I was concerned with it when we first moved in but we also got a pretty good Miele dishwasher which seems to churn through just about everything so there's very little we have to hand wash. It's very deep though which helps. Counter space is at a premium so I can definitely see why the previous owners only put the single in - the wooden chopping board that fits it exactly helps with that also.

I don't mind a single tub. Right to left to rince most of the bulk off. Left to right again to do the final wash.

The one Scon has looks pretty big (and he said deep) so it would work fairly well and so it's all good. It's those McMansions with a massive benchtop and little sink that get me the most

Been a while, but I finally dug up some pictures of my kitchen

The kitchen with my Ilve cooktop. It's a 2 oven kitchen ... that Smeg microwave doubles as an oven.

View of the other side.

View from the kitchen into the dining area. Entertainment area is down the front.

View from the dining area into the backyard / BBQ area.

Did you choose to not have a splash back for your cook top?

I assume (from the reflections) it's a glass splash back behind there.

Aand just an update to my kitchen.

Was brewing my first all grain batch of beer and after about 40 minutes of the wok burner on full, this happened. THink it was a combo of the heat and the 40 odd kilos of weight on the stove.

Anyways, at least it's only superficial... but still

Yep. Glass is replaceable - might go for a stainless steel top for the next one considering that I can't be trusted around.... anything

Edit: and that oven is pretty impressive, is that three separate oven zones?

SS is the way to go... easy to clean easy to not break :P

2 ovens, one grill. Special note, anyone considering an oven of this size should look for 32A unless you have 3 phase going into your house. This oven was listed online as 32A (Australian version is different), when I got it home and installed it failed to function as it was actually 45A single phase.

I had to get my electrical board and the house supply upgraded to accommodate. Very happy but its an added expense...
