So you've upgraded the cooling, have you overclocked it?

So far so good

Obviously there are better ways to actually installing the fan & cable but I'm far too lazy to bother with anything on this router. Running latest DD-WRT
I have a TP-Link WR841ND with DD-WRT and honestly, I don't like it... It's a little too advanced for me (i'm a real lazy bastard but yet I have WC ) so i'm trying to get rid of it. Failing so far...

All it needs is a grille for protection (optional according to the latest ghettospec standards) but it actually looks pretty good.

I did a similar thing with my Linksys WAG200G with the heatsinks, plus I upgraded the capacitors. Made it a bit more stable and l337 etc. No fans for me, I went and got a Billion before I got a chance.

This would have to be my all-time greatest Ghetto invention - My power supply load tester. Basically, the casing is just several old PSU cases riveted together. Inside are 50W wire-wound power resistors stuck to CPU heat sinks with some Arctic silver thermal adhesive., and the fans are ultra-high speed Delta fans which move something like 250CFM each, and they are LOUD.

LOL had the same / similar thing to urs jeffliu.. but my fan clip not broke off just has some faulty.. used some cheapy old fan to replace and it actually works better than the original fan of the GPU... ;P

this one i had 120mm fan duct-taped to the front of my case.. ;P the side panel is from some plastic cover IKEA brand.. theres some other ghetto mod inside but too lazy to take the pic of it..

You're doing it wrong. You can just snap off every third blade so it's balanced again.

I also had the same case, ended up spraying the interior black.
When I got my 800D I happily destroyed it
I think I paid $80 for it off of ebay?

Christ, I had the same case too. In fact, a lot of the mods are so similar to what I did. I took the black padding out of the side, kept the door though. Took the LCD out for an Xbox 360 case mod, which never happened anyway. Cut a 120mm hole in the front, BUT, I measured and cut the front bay covers and stuck it behind that. It look pretty good behind the door.

In fact, I still have that case. By the way, there was a plexi behind the door mesh wasn't there? And the top and bottom LEDs made the cut out glow which I thought was cool.

Man I bought that was when I was like, 11 or 12. Put my sexy P4 system in there with a 6600TD .
