Press* last night - was brilliant!
Had the suckling pig, amazing, and there were 13 of us, so they gave us 4 big strips of pork belly at no extra cost. Second time there, and while the service might not be perfect just yet, they're sure as hell making a genuine effort to pamper their clients.

My gf banned me from a whole suckling pig about two years ago...
The Gf's dad wants one (and promised me one in February, but alas)... So, I'm thinking a graduation dinner in September with both of our families - and the GF will just have to be out-voted! |

Just letting you know that I'm pumped.

Waiters were sub-par for the amount of money the restaurant costs, it was very loud and too dark. Downstairs tables didn't look like what I wanted in a restaurant. However, the food was amazing. Had the pig, was too much for 8 people (note, had 4*entrees to share, and it was 4 girls, 4 boys - 3 of the boys which don't like to "pig out"). I'm sure it's doable by 8 people, especially if you chose to focus less on the potatoes (and bread)... but the potatoes are so amazing I'm not sure you'd want to give them a miss! Pig trimmings were cauliflower puree, green salad and potatoes - and we didn't finish any sides. Could serve 12 people - assuming you aren't big eaters. Annoyingly, they wouldn't give us a doggy bag. Such a shame to waste the left-overs. Overall, wouldn't recommend it for a nice couples dinner (given the above issues, and other opportunities like Vincenzos (great for couples).... would very highly recommend it for the pig if you have a group, because that pig was god-damn amazing. I mean, don't get me wrong, if you've tried all the other nice restaurants, as a couple, you could certainly enjoy it.... but, the comment was made by 3 in the group that it wasn't a very couples orientated restaurant. I've only been upstairs; hate the downstairs concept.
I was there again Friday mate, and it was bloody excellent, again ![]() We ordered entrees when we went as well - huge mistake, the pig was more than enough for 12. We did take the rest home though, so that's a little weird...

Press* is definitely making a good name with the suckling pig....
The lunch burger is also good - $18. Will be posting our review of the burger soon on blog. http://adelaidechoppingboard.blogspot.com.au/ |

I dined at the Red Ocre a few weeks back, took my UK relies there, and apart from the excessively expensive wines the food was excellent and the views in the evenings were just awesome
