Default Has anyone used the built-in VPN client to connect to work (using Cisco equipment)?

Work hasn't released the latest cisco client that will work with OSX Lion so I searched the net and found a guide that lets me use the built-in one to connect to work.

I am connect at the moment and I got a new interface called utun0 and it even has an IP number that's I know is from work.
---------
utun0: flags=8051<UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1280
inet 129.96.140.165 --> 129.96.140.165 netmask 0xffffff00
--------

But when I try to ssh or ping one of the servers, well I can't access it.

Does anyone know of an alternative to VPN client I can use? or maybe I need to set something so I can use the built-in client?

thanks

I used the inbuilt VPN client to connect to Uni last year (They had Cisco 5540 as the end point). It was ridiculously simple to use, entered the details and it'd connect and route traffic without issue.

I'd check to see if there are any additional routes being added when you connect.

Try Shimo

Or if you aren't afraid of the terminal, try vpnc and you'll possibly need to install tuntap as well unless your existing config has already setup that interface.

I was using Shimo on my old MBP, now I use vpnc to connect to my work's Cisco VPN , it works great.
